Science for Humanity is aware of the diversity of needs of users in terms of access to information on this web site. We are striving to make the website as accessible and user-friendly as possible. Given our wide reach: from the latest high tech laboratories where leading scientists work to a remote, rural connection in Sub-Saharan Africa; our approach is to use a simple template with few images at the top levels of the site.
If you have any difficulty accessing any content on this site please let us know and we will provide the information in an alternative format if possible. Please email your request or comments to: accessibility@scienceforhumanity.net
The home page allows the user to switch to a text only display if their Internet connection is slow. There is also the possibility for users to change the size of the font used in the display.
For those users who are connecting using a low bandwidth connection, for example, in rural Africa, we recommend the use of www.loband.org
Some documents on this site can be downloaded. We have used Adobe PDF: an Internet standard used to distribute electronic documents. Most electronic documents or images can be converted to a PDF document by using Acrobat software, and anyone can read these documents by using Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader software.
We have endeavored to conform to the international World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines on accessibility developed under the Web Accessibility Initiative.
